Matt Kingas Henry Mallet
HENRY MALLETHenry is the ghost of a dead English rock star or the physical representation of Suzy Darling’s repressed subconscious desire and thwarted and unfulfilled sensual and emotional yearnings. Either way – he’s funny. Also, vain, emotionally mature, generous, wicked and an Englishman. Originally from an art school background, Henry came to Sydney to escape the pressures and success of his band – The Nerve. Henry wanted to reinvent himself, to find his passion for music again, to write the magnificent songs he had inside him - the right way this time - and was never seen again. Rumour and myth surround his disappearance – many people still think he’s out there somewhere; that it was all a meticulously constructed play by Henry to find the anonymity he craved and start afresh.
